Happy New Year! We are excited to have our Bobcats back on campus today. We are happy to announce that our holiday parties and Sugarland have been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 14. Our students have been excited about these events and have worked hard on their performances. Hope to see you here!

Message from the Central Office;
For the past two days we have been monitoring the amount of sickness among students and staff at Sugar Creek Elementary. Various illnesses have spread throughout the school with the most common being the flu. The decision has been made to close Sugar Creek for the next three days to give our students and staff a chance to recover and stop the spread. Sugar Creek will be closed to students on 12/18, 12/19 and 12/20.
Sugar Creek is the only school in our system impacted at this time, but we will continue to monitor all schools in the district. Please stay safe over the holidays and we look forward to seeing you back on January 7, 2025.
In the best interest of our faculty, students, and families, we are postponing Sugarland until January due to the high number of illnesses in our school and community. We want as many to be able to participate as possible!

Dear Parents,
All are welcome to come Tuesday, December 17th from 5:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. to our annual celebration of Christmas called Sugarland at Sugar Creek. There will be singing, pictures with Santa (free), art displays, and let us not forget the cookies! Remember to bring your camera or phone for this event.
**K and 1st Grade please come to the lunchroom at 5:45 p.m. We will line up and sing in the gym at 6 p.m.
**2nd and 3rd Grade please come to the lunchroom at 6:15 p.m. We will line up and sing in the gym at 6:30 p.m.
**4th and 5th Grade please come to the lunchroom at 6:45 p.m. We will line up and sing in the gym at 7:00 p.m. Students, bring your recorder but do not play it until we are in the gym.

Thanks for your support during the Bobcat Fun Run today. The students had a great time. Please send the money for the pledges as soon as possible, if not this week, after fall break will be fine.
Also, tomorrow is Willie Wonka Wednesday. We will be selling chocolate treats!!! All treats will be will seventy-five cents. ($0.75)

Our Bobcat Fun Run is tomorrow! Students remember to wear your tennis shoes! There will be a designated area for parents/families to come cheer on your favorite Bobcat. Please meet us at the track during your child’s PE time and sign in at the sign-in table. Students will return to class when their PE time is over.
